n achieving their greatest goal, the teaching system of UPI revolves around knowing the curriculum to guarantee a suitable curriculum design, methods, approaches, and strategies to facilitate learning and convey information to students. It involves the organized and purposeful arrangement of instructional elements to achieve specific educational goals. The teaching system includes various components that contribute to the overall learning experience of the students. Here are key aspects of their teaching system:

1. Curriculum Design:

The selection and organization of content to be taught, outlining the scope and sequence of topics, learning objectives, and assessment is mainly based on the students’ needs and interests. It is not only lecturing , but there is the utilization of other approaches and models such as problem-based learning, genre-based approach , active learning and so on so the students can get variety of learning activities to ensure that no one will be left behind. For an instance, there are three different programs in SMA Labschool UPI where I specifically had my internship. One, the Tauhiid Program which is a collaboration program with Daarut Tauhiid to provide teaching and learning process focusing on religious matters preparing students to compete in this globalization era. Meanwhile, Bilingual Program offers international science curriculum combined with national curriculum. It also offers the mastery of English and Japanese literacy helping students to compete in 4.0 digital atmosphere especially with the mastery of language. The last one is the regular program that uses the national curriculum enriched with enhanced curriculum set by the school. It is intended to get students ready with the future that they will face soon when they graduate apart from the program that the school developed. The curriculum is designed depending on their chosen field or program.

2. Instructional Methods:

The techniques and approaches used by teachers to deliver content and engage students include lectures, discussions, group activities, hands-on projects, and multimedia presentations. There is a varied instructional method integration which guarantees a well-rounded learning experience. Furthermore, the adoption and adaptation of different instructions accommodate diverse learning needs and styles within a classroom, meeting the needs of individual students or groups.

3. Assessment and Evaluation:

The processes for measuring and evaluating students' understanding and mastery of the material is done before, during and after. Diagnosis is implemented to check the background knowledge of students, while during assessments are made to reinforce and check how students are doing or going along with the current discussion or topic and after assessment is done to determine whether the learning objectives are met. These are made through quizzes, exams, projects, presentations, and other forms of assessment.

4. Classroom Management:

UPI equips strategies for creating and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment by establishing routines, addressing behavior, and promoting a sense of community within the classroom.

5. Use of Technology:

The integration of technology tools and resources to enhance the teaching and learning experience is every observable in every class as each of them has built-in projectors, television and computers that makes them easily integrate multimedia presentations, online platforms, and interactive educational software.

6. Differentiation:

Adapting instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles within a classroom. Teachers may use various strategies to meet the needs of individual students or groups.

7. Feedback and Communication:

Providing constructive feedback to students about their performance and progress. Effective communication between teachers, students, and parents is crucial for a successful teaching system.

8. Learning Materials:

Selection and utilization of textbooks, supplemental reading materials, and resources that support the curriculum and enhance student understanding.

9. Student Engagement:

UPI is a master for creating and opening activities and building experiences that capture students' interest and motivation, fostering active participation and a positive attitude toward learning as  SMA Labschool UPI supports the development of students creativity with many extracurricular clubs and activities from various fields such as science, sport, art, religion and skill. Through these, students are not caged into classroom, instead they are given the opportunity to express, show their skills and excel beyond classrooms, preventing the delimiting of students’ potential and maximization of skills.

As reflected, the teaching system is dynamic. Through this, educators can reflect on their practices and incorporate new methodologies to improve the overall effectiveness of teaching and learning.
